Bill (William) Hrabi
December 18th 1942 ? March 28th 2013
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bill Hrabi. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Iris; his daughters Grace McPhillips (Kevin McPhillips) & Colleen Hrabi (Owen Hanson) and his grandson Arlo Hanson. Bill also leaves behind many amazing lifelong friends who we thank for visiting him over the last few months.
Bill had an enthusiasm for life surpassed by nobody. He was always up for an adventure and busy planning our next family trip. Some of his favourite times were spent playing badminton at the Wellness Centre, going to garage sales at Winnipeg Beach with his daughters and friends & discovering new restaurants around the City. Above all else, Bill loved spending time with his family. He was overjoyed when his grandson, Arlo, joined the family this past year and he spent every minute he could with him.
A special thanks to Dr. Pat Harris, Rejanne Dorge and the wonderful Staff at Concordia Cancer Care.
A celebration of Bill’s life will take place in the coming weeks. Date and location to follow.
In lieu of flowers or donations we ask that you do something nice for someone else. Bill was always showing up with surprises wherever he went, even for people that he barely knew. Please help us keep his memory alive by continuing this tradition.
