Obituary for Tom Hallem
Thomas (Tom) Harry Nicholas Hallem
December 19, 1951-May 13, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Hallem.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Mary and Tom Hallem. He is survived by his wife Janice and sons Tommy and Joshua (Vancouver B.C), his sisters Christine (Rod) and Teresa as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Tom and Janice hosted many exchange students over the years, one student became their "adoptive" daughter - Anne of Switzerland. They exchanged many visits together and Tom came to adopt her husband-Thierry- and their children Henri and Julien as part of his family.
Tom loved working in his garden in the summer and fishing with Tommy. He also enjoyed making wine for his family and friends for many years.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gingerich and his nurse Cheryl from CancerCare Manitoba for all they have done for him over the last few years.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in memory of Tom may be made to Cancer Care of Manitoba.
