Peacefully in the presence of the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2013 Therese passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 78.
Therese was predeceased by her loving husband Gordon Graham Arbuthnot, her Parents Lorenzo and Rose-Anna, and brothers Oscar and Lionel.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons John (Ellamae) Arbuthnot and Doug (Sue) Arbuthnot; her grandchildren Shawn Arbuthnot, Shari (Dave) Normand, Darcy (Brittany) Arbuthnot and Darrin Arbuthnot; her great-grandchildren Rylee and Reese Normand and Dorian Arbuthnot; her siblings Florence Vouriot, Joseph Courchaine, Antoinette Courchaine (Laddie Capuska), Cecile (Don) Scott, Denis (Eunice) Courchaine, Sally (Paul) Perchaluk, Richard (Kim) Courchaine, sister-in-law Annette Courchaine and many wonderful nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Therese was born on July 6, 1934 in St. Germain and was a resident of Winnipeg before and after residing many years in Grand Marais, Manitoba.
We wish to say thanks to all the staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Unit who provided terrific care and support.
A vigil will be held on Thursday April 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Coutu Funeral home at 680 Archibald Street. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway; Interment will follow at St. Vital Parish Cemetery.
Donations can be sent to the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface General Hospital in lieu of flowers.
