.
Stanley passed peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre, his home since August 2021.

He reached the age of 101 years old, and loved celebrating at his 100th birthday party.

Stan was a lifelong resident of Winnipeg, growing up in Fort Rouge and settling in St. Vital.
He started his work life at CNR as a bike riding messenger. In 1942 he joined the Army working as a Radio operator with the Toronto Scottish regiment. After discharge in 1945, he started with CNR telecommunications, retiring in 1983.

He enjoyed his trips to Europe with WWII veterans, especially representing the Toronto Scottish at the 75th Anniversary of Dieppe. He also enjoyed many winter golf trips to San Antonio, Texas.

He loved sports, watching the Jets and Blue Bombers, playing golf at St. Boniface GC since 1965, and bowling Saturday with the Golfers League at Chateau lanes.

He loved all kinds of music and reading mostly health books being interested in his health.
He was always learning, taking courses in Photography and Calligraphy.

Stan was also very proud of his volunteer work at St. Boniface Hospital Cancer Care, serving for 25 years.

Survived by his three children, Doug, Joyce, and John; his four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial service will be held.
The family would like to thank all the staff on Tower 5 at Deer Lodge for all the tremendous care for our father.
Those wishing can make a donation to the St-Boniface Hospital in his memory, or to the Deer Lodge Centre.
