He was a devoted husband and family man whose greatest pride, were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Simon remarried in 1987 and moved to Winnipeg with his wife Aline in 1993. They enjoyed spending time with Aline’s family Dennis (Dorothee), Lizette (Don) along with their grandchildren and other family members. They were also fortunate to have one of Simon’s brothers Antonio and family that also lived in Winnipeg. Simon loved to visit his home of Kitimat to see his family and friends. Enjoyed reminiscing of the olden days. He loved to garden which consisted of various flowers and most of all proud of his vegetables. Also a very special thank you to his nephew our cousin and family Marcos Carreiro for the love and support throughout his years of living in Winnipeg. You are one special person and we are eternally grateful for being a part of our lives.
