Obituary for Rose Yaworski

ROSE YAWORSKI

June 7, 1925 ? November 9, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Rose, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Park Manor Personal Care Home. Her courageous battle is over.

She will be greatly missed by her children Don (Cathy), Ken (Dinnette), Brenda (Claude), six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Stella (Surrey, B.C.) and predeceased by her husband Fred in 1979, her sisters Albina, Winnie and Toni.

Rose was an active lifetime resident of Transcona, well known as the great Perogy Lady, lovingly cooking for her friends and family for many years. She worked at Michael?s Catering in Transcona while raising her children. Rose was also an active member of the C.W.L. and a dedicated member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, where she tended the flower garden with loving care. She was in support of the Winnipeg Humane Society and many other causes close to her heart. Rose simply lived for her family with determination, strength and love. She cherished her visits with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grand-twins and proudly spoke of them. They will miss their Granny so much.

Her family is thankful for the caring staff at Park Manor for their support and kindness. In lieu of flowers Rose?s family respectfully ask that a donation be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB or Park Manor Personal Care Home.

A funeral mass celebrating Rose?s life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 505 Brewster Street with viewing one hour prior to. Deep in our hearts your memory is kept ?

to love, to cherish and never forget.
