Obituary for Robert Palud
ROBERT PALUD
May 27, 1937 – July 17, 2021
On Saturday, July 17, 2021, Robert Palud passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital.
Born May 27, 1937 to Jean-Marie Palud and Edna Bouchard, he grew up on a farm in Aubigny, Manitoba. He continued to farm with his father and brothers.
In 1975, he married Raymonde Girouard. Together they enjoyed travel and brewed their own beer. They eventually moved to Woodridge, Manitoba. Robert also worked many years in St-Boniface at Supercrete.
Robert was a man of few words, honest sincerity and dry wit, qualities which will be missed by friends and family.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, brother Yves, sister Henriette Phillipe (Marcel), and his wife Raymonde Girouard. He is survived by his siblings, Léon Palud (Rose-Marie), Rose Laramée (Joseph), Monique Lajoie (Paul), Claudette Veuilleux (Jean-Paul), Louis Palud; and sisters-in-law, as well as nephews and nieces.
A private family service with a Funeral Mass celebrating Robert’s life will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10.30 a.m. in St. Boniface Cathedral, followed by entombment in the family niche at St. Boniface Cemetery.
