Obituary for Richard Alan Demery

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Richard Alan Demery, after a lengthy battle with cancer on February 8, 2024 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 64.
Richard will be greatly missed by his loving partner of 34 years Eva; sons Josh and Alex, daughter Sarah. He will also be greatly missed by his three eldest children Jonathon, Richard jr. (Lisa), Christina (Gary), and his three grandchildren Carson, Ethan, and Seanna.
Richard was predeceased by his mother Molly Ansel, as well as his grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his siblings Randy, Jamie, Val, Carl, Rob (Lisa), Ron, Virginia (Randy), and Bill.
Richard was born on February 2, 1960, in Winnipegosis, Manitoba. He held various jobs throughout his life, starting with summer jobs working in farm fields in his teens to renovations and construction in his adult years. He always enjoyed working with his hands. Richard had many hobbies including building, and car collecting; his first car being his beloved maroon Trans-am in 1978.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Riverview health centre palliative care for their kindness and care over the last 6 months.
A memorial service and reception will be held on Friday March 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at E.J. Coutu funeral home, located at 680 Archibald Street.
