Rebecca (Becky, Betty) LLOYD

1931-2012


Mom passed away at the Grace Hospice after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.


Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma was born in Winnipeg, moving to B.C. at the age of 16 where she met and married her husband, our Dad, Doug. Together they raised six children.


Mom was predeceased by Dad (2003) and infant son Frankie (1952). Mom is survived by her children: Doug (Betty), Wayne (Alexis), Cory (Nadine), Thomas (Theresa), Sherri (Gord), Lisa (Bernie), 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend, Janet Sorenson. She will be missed by her friends and neighbours who knew and enjoyed her in life, including all those special people at the Sunrise and Serena Towers.


A special thank you to the staff of Palliative Care; Community, Riverview 3East and Grace Hospice.


In keeping with Mom?s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
