Obituary for Philippe André Vandewaeter
Give rest, O Lord, to the soul of your son Philippe who has passed away suddenly at his home January 27, 2022 at the age of 63.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Philippe has departed eternally in Winnipeg. Philippe was born at home at la ferme de la Clery, Ferrieres en Gatinais, France. In 1964 he came to Canada as a six year old child with his parents. As a child he won many wrestling matches but never boasted about it and did not like all the fuss about it. Philippe as his name implies was fond of horses, he always had a few while living on the farm in St Eustache Manitoba. Later on he loved the horsepower of the big CAT machines. Always generous with his friends, he would give all he had when meeting them.
He will be missed sadly by his 2 brothers and 5 sisters and their spouses.
Edith (Nashed), Catherine (Brian), Vianney (Linda), Veronique (Jose), Anne Marie (Sonny), Christophe (Les), Corinne (John). He leaves behind 15 nieces and nephews and 19 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Philippe rest in Peace with your Creator. You have now joined in eternal rest your Dad Aime who passed away June 2, 2021 and your mom Aline who just passed away August 31, 2021.

Funeral Service will be held at the Coutu Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend Father Kevin Bettens officiating. Traditional burial to follow at the Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery.
