Peter Jimmy Kehler

June 16, 1961 – November 20, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Kehler, at the age of 58 years, on November 20, 2019.

Peter will be loved and sadly missed by his devoted wife Johanne, of thirty seven years; His daughters, Jacquelyn (Jason), Amber, and Jocelyn; grandchildren Mercedes, Douglas and Elizabeth; his mother Nettie; siblings, Nettie, Harry (Andrea), Brenda (Sean);Brother-in-law Rodney, special family members Peter, Dustin, and Harley as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends from near and far.  Peter was predeceased by his father Peter, and sister Linda.

Dad had a love for his family that could never be explained. He was our hero and saviour. Dad’s second love was trucking and the highway was his freedom. He also enjoyed fixing cars and trucks, but no imports.  Dad was currently working for Nelson River Construction as a mechanic and truck driver.

A memorial service celebrating Peter’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba.

Dad was a true highway man, never leaving a man behind.
