Obituary for Pasquale Romeo

Pasquale (Pat) Romeo

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pasquale Romeo on August 1st, 2020. Pasquale fought a brief but deeply courageous battle with cancer. We lost him too soon, but his strength and spirit continue to inspire us all.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted new bride Andrea Romeo, his mother Rosetta Romeo, his sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Cory Tucker, nephews Carson and Everett, and niece Scarlett. Countless friends, cousins, aunts, and loved ones are left to mourn, but most importantly his daughter Isabella – a ray of sunshine he had only recently met. He was predeceased by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and loving father Angelo.

Pasquale, known to most as Pat, was a deeply intelligent, sweet, and caring soul. He was known for his quick wit, his goofy sense of humor, and his zest for life. He loved a good story and enjoyed movies and great novels. His curiosity about the world gave him a love of travel, and he and his wife Andrea travelled extensively in their short time together. They dreamed of retiring on a beach in a little corner of paradise selling coconuts. He had recently put his intelligence, resourcefulness, and scientific knowledge to good use in starting his own cannabis testing laboratory.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at CancerCare Manitoba, especially Dr. Paul Daeninck, clinic nurse Shawna, and the entire nursing staff. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba in the hopes that we may one day find a cure for this awful disease.

Due to Covid-19 related gathering restrictions, the family will have a private service and entombment on Friday, August 7th at Holy Angel Mausoleum.
