Obituary for Pasquale Puccio

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather, brother and husband, Pasquale Puccio, at the Grace Hospice on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Maria; daughters, Erminia (Corey) and Rina (Robert); grandchildren, Hannah, Lukas, Dominick and Alexa; and his sister Emilia (Renato). Pasquale was pre-deceased by his parents Erminia and Isidoro and his siblings Maria, Felicia, Giuseppe and Alfonso.

Pasquale was born in Miglierina, Calabria, Italy, on May 11, 1938. He immigrated to Canada when he was 19 years old, spending time in both Montreal and Winnipeg before settling here. Pasquale worked for the Hudson Bay Co. for 42 years, where he was well-known for displaying his talent and skill as a clothier and for providing the highest quality of customer service.

Nothing filled Pasquale with the bigger sense of pride than when his grandchildren came along and he became “nonno”. Having his family together for dinners and trips was the happiest time for him and filled his heart with beautiful memories. He loved to travel with family and friends, exploring Canada and the U.S. and working on his suntan in Cuba, Mexico and Hawaii.

There will be an outdoor blessing for Pasquale at the Chapel Mausoleum at the Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022.

We would like to thank everyone who has reached out to send their condolences. We would also like to convey a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing health care professionals who supported both mom and dad over the past several months, in the community, in Riverview Hospital and in the Grace Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancercare Manitoba.

Riposo in Pace Nonno.
