NOËLLA ANNE KOLT (NEE MOQUIN)

Noëlla passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at age 62 after three years of battling cancer.
Noëlla is predeceased by her parents, Isidore and Angela Moquin (née Poirier), and her infant brother, Michel Moquin. Noëlla is survived by her husband Glenn Kolt, and her sons Benoit and David Kolt. She is also survived by her siblings Daniel Moquin (Lynn), Gisele Moquin-Janusz, Paulette Bodnar (Wade), Eugene Moquin (Pauline), Juliette Parachoniak-Moquin (Brent) and Louise Hawley (Gord), as well as many nephews and nieces on the Kolt and Moquin sides of the family. Noëlla was known for her patience and quiet determination grounded in faith and hope in all situations throughout her life with her family and friends. She accepted with calmness anything that life threw at her, and she would always say she lived by God's grace. She was also known for her gentle and peaceful countenance which remained constant throughout her life. Her 15 years in the Finance Department of the St. Boniface Hospital from 1980 to 1995 occasionally tested her patience. Some words that could describe Noëlla are steady, sincere, genuine, authentic, peaceful, generous, and loving. Noëlla loved learning and helping in accounting, garden work and other household responsibilities. She loved when family would drop by and she always kept good memories of special times and special people. She would join in wherever and whenever there were games, laughter and especially music, and songs. She liked baking, cooking having a good time. After becoming a housewife, she spent time as a teacher’s aid at École Tache. where her children went for their early grades. She also liked going outside for her daily walks with her family. Noëlla loved and cared for family and friends immensely.
Noëlla was an individual of simplicity, feeling no need to accentuate in any aspect. She kept herself natural-looking to the human eye. She eliminated any distraction, thus allowing anyone to exchange conversation directly with her beautiful soul. She had a way of making others feel good and hopeful after talking to her. Her gentle spirit will always remain within many precious memories of her being...feeling blessed!
