Obituary for Molly Christina Ansell (Demery)
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Molly Christina Ansell, 88, on December 25, 2022, after a brief illness. Mom was surrounded by her children at the time of her passing.
Molly was born on September 28, 1934, in Winnipegosis, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Virginie Demery, and her thirteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Richard (Eve), Randy, Jamie, Val, Carl, Rob, Ron, Virginia (Randy), and Bill, as well as her seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Molly was born and raised in Winnipegosis, Manitoba. She raised her children in Minnedosa and eventually moved to Winnipeg. She lived for many years at the Fort Rouge Ecumenical Apartments and enjoyed many activities with her friends, especially cribbage, bingo, and jigsaw puzzles.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at ICU1 at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion during Mom’s illness, with a special thank you to Sharla, Maria and Dr. Kumar for their kindness and support.
The family requests that donations be made to a favourite charity in lieu of flowers. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the E.J. Coutu Funeral Home, located at 680 Archibald.
