Obituary for Michelle Keam

MICHELLE KEAM

July 30,1959 ? August 8, 2013

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother and friend.

Michelle will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Larry, daughter, Sara, sister, Debra, brother, R.J. and great-aunt, Myrna Hartley. She will also be greatly missed by numerous foster children, in-laws and their families and dear friends.

Michelle was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Adrienne, brother, Jon, sister, Niki and several extended family members.

Michelle was an outgoing, loving soul with a spark for life and touched the lives of everyone she met. Michelle was a teacher at Herzing College for 12 years. She was an exceptional cook, adventurous with her recipes. Michelle loved entertaining her friends and family. She loved her bingo and to travel, her favourite was any place where she could dip her toes into the ocean, walk along the beach and sip a margarita.

Most important to Michelle was family; she loved children deeply and with a fierce heart. She was blessed with the undeniable ability to bring out the best in children, and she will live on in them. Michelle, along with Larry have been foster parents for 17 years, she has touched the lives of hundreds of children and will never be forgotten.

In keeping with Michelle?s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Reception will follow at the Norwood St. Boniface Legion, 134 Marion Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelle?s memory may be made to St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation (CancerCare) or to Canadian Diabetes.
