We are sad to announce the passing of Meryl Jean Anema on March 24, 2024.
She is survived by her husband Jack, son and daughter-in-law Jason and Laura, and granddaughter Jasmine.
Meryl was born in Swan River on September 18, 1946, to Ronald and Dorothy Kokot.
She was a loving older sister to Iris. She married Jack on August 9, 1969.
Her greatest joy came from her family and the many friends she made throughout her life. She was deeply committed to Christ, and her faith was a foremost priority. She was easy to talk to and always made others feel welcome. She will be remembered for her mischievous sense of humor and her laughter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street in Winnipeg.
