Obituary for Marlene Marie-Thérèse Lussier (Allard)

MARLENE LUSSIER

Marlene Lussier age 68 born on October 24, 1952 in St Laurent Manitoba

After a lengthy battle with cancer she passed away at Riverview Health Centre peacefully on August 25, 2021 with family by her side.

Marlene grew up in St. Laurent MB being the oldest daughter to Adrien and Laurette Allard she had numerous brothers and sisters. Marlene was a kindhearted person who loved her family. She met Alfred, her soulmate on Winnipeg’s Main St., they went on to marry August 16, 1969. These two had a love like no other... through their 52 years of marriage. They enjoyed singing karaoke together, dancing, playing bingo, sitting, and enjoying each other’s company while watching something as simple as the news.

Not long after their family began, which grew fairly quickly having 6 daughters, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Marlene was the matriarch of her family, the love she showed everyone individually was so comforting and special. The things she has taught her daughters will be graciously passed down to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marlene was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Lussier, her parents Adrien and Laurette Allard
sisters Laura Allard, Lydia Storm and her brother Eugene Allard.

Marlene is survived by her husband Alfred, daughters Jennifer (James), Rachelle (Ron), Valerie (Cory), Carollee (Fred) and Sarah-Jane (Doug), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers and sisters.

The family wishes to thank nurses, Tony and Sabrina, health care aides, Michelle and Lynn as well as the staff on Unit 3E at Riverview for all the compassion and care shown to her during her stay.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Manitoba.
