Obituary for MARION J. "MARY" BRUNO

MARION “MARY” J. BRUNO


After a long and wonderful life of fun, laughter, adventure and travel Marion passed away at the age of 91 on July 1, 2019 at the Grace Hospital.


Marion’s life journey began November 29, 1927 in Winnipeg.  At the age of five with her mother Angela and brother Edward they moved to Morris where she spent all her school years followed by attending Success Business College.


Marion’s career spanned 41 years from 1946 – 1987 with Canada Immigration where she made many cherished and dear friends.  Once retired she enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army and the Canadian Diabetes Association.


Marion had a zest for life and took great pleasure cruising to many destinations around the world. She had many lifelong friends and neighbours she greatly appreciated and treasured.


Marion is survived by nephew Darryl, niece Lesa, great-nephews Grant and Zacharie, great-niece Mika and great-grandnephew Dax.  She was predeceased by her mother Angela, brother Edward and nephew Joel.


Cremation has taken place and at Marion’s request a graveside service will take place on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Cemetery.


If friends so desire, donations in honour of Marion’s memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society where many of her four-legged friends were adopted and provided so much love. Fritz, Kofi, Cleo, Mitzy, Muffin and survived by Harley.


Rest in peace Marion.
