It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delvina Hubert on Thursday, April 13, at Actionmarguerite in St. Boniface at the age of 79.

Delvina was predeceased by her husband, Ronald (2021); father, Albert Remillard (1971); mother, Amanda Remillard (1994); brothers Danny, Andy, Rollie, and Ray; sister Lena; sister-in-law Ann. She is survived by son Trevor; daughter Ronda; daughter-in-law Denise; grandson Nate; granddaughter Milleya; sisters Denise and Bernice (Roy); sister-in-law Annette; brother-in-law Doug and many nieces and nephews.

Delvina was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was active in her children’s lives and showed them the joy of cooking, gardening, and an appreciation for nature. She spent many hours tending to her garden and flowers at her home in Winnipeg and at ‘the lake’ in St. Malo, Manitoba. Delvina was passionate about wildflowers and prairie habitats and supported the Manitoba Tall Grass Prairie Preserve and the Living Prairie Museum.

Delvina held several office administrator roles throughout her working years, most recently at St. Mary’s Academy. Delvina was an avid reader and enjoyed learning and completed several French language study courses at the University of Winnipeg.

She lived with her daughter Ronda and cherished their time together running errands like picking up fresh cinnamon buns at Tall Grass Bakery. One of her favorite trips was shopping at The Bay and lunch at A&W. On the weekends, Ronda and Delvina enjoyed many bonfire conversations with family and friends at ‘the lake’ in St. Malo.

One of Delvina’s favourite roles was grandmother to Nate and Milleya. Whether it was painting, lego-building, matching games, or exploring the neighborhood with a plastic pail and shovel – Grandma could always be counted on as a willing participant.

Delvina’s family kindly requests that friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by visiting her tribute page at ejcoutu.ca.

Following their wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 11:00 am at Coutu Funeral Home.
