It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Marcel Jubinville at Actionmarguerite St. Vital on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 84.
He will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife of 34 years Claudette (Nee Desrosiers); sons Robert (Janelle), and Daniel; daughter Marcy (former spouse Jeff); granddaughters Serena (Morgan), Madison, and Kirsten; grandson Michael (Torri); great-granddaughters Sloan and Scotty; sisters Lucille, Madeleine and Gabrielle (Edmond); brother Ronald (Vivian), Eugene (Gisele); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Corine Jubinville; sister Carmelle; brother-in-laws George and Ray; and daughter Sherri Lynn.
Marcel was born on July 15, 1939, in St. Joseph, Manitoba. He worked on the family farm in his early years. In his early twenties he started working as an iron steel worker for the Iron Workers Union Local 728 until his retirement when he was 60.
Marcel was a “car guy”, his main hobby was buying, fixing, and selling cars. He always had two to three cars going at once and loved going for road trips and Sunday drives. He was an avid cyclist who would ride his seven-speed cruiser for hours, from the time the snow melted to when it began to snow again. He was a kind and gentle soul who had a little smile that will always be remembered.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Actionmarguerite St. Vital for their kindness and care for the past two years.
A memorial service and reception to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Coutu Funeral Home, located at 680 Archibald Street.
