Obituary for Lynne Annette Pelletier

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the sudden passing of Lynne Pelletier on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the age of 72 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Claudette Pelletier, sister-in-law Ellen Gaudry (Lou), niece Lesley Gaudry (Chris), great-niece Joss Givens, and great-nephews Kieran Givens and Liam Lobsiger, goddaughter Tammy Watson (Brett, Devona, and Paige) and extended family Ian, Chantal, and Martin Givens.

She was predeceased by her parents: Henri and Ernestine Pelletier, brother Robert Pelletier and nephew Joel Gaudry.

Lynne was born and raised in St. Boniface, Manitoba. Much of her childhood was spent at the cottage at Bird River and with her legion of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Lynne lived her adult life in south St. Vital where she made friends with her many neighbours. Lynne worked for over 40 years as a purchasing agent for Great-West Life.

Lynne's kind and caring nature made everyone around her feel at ease. Her adventurous spirit took her and her sister on many adventures. Hawaii held a special place in her heart. Lynne had a beautiful way of enjoying life no matter what it dealt her. Following her kidney diagnosis, Lynne often used her time receiving dialysis to connect with loved ones via phone or FaceTime. She is forever grateful for the love and care she received from her sister.

We would like to thank the wonderful doctors and staff of the Home Hemo Dialysis team at Seven Oaks Hospital for the care that they provided Lynne.

A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held on Monday, June 20th, 2022, at 11 am, in the basement of the St. Eugene Parish Hall, 1009 St. Mary’s Road.

If so inclined, donations in Lynne’s honour can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, Unit 1, 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, R3Y 1G4.
