Obituary for Louis Bedard

LOUIS BEDARD

On Monday, May 18, surrounded by his earthly angels, Louis went to live in his forever home with our Heavenly God and Father.

Cherishing his life are wife and soulmate Christy; treasured children Veronique (Daniel), Dan, and Ginette; mother Rose; sisters Cecile and Theresa (Bill); brother John (Madeline); nieces and nephews; and in-laws Evelyn and Alex Heuser. Louis was predeceased by his father Albert.

Favourite times for Louis were those spent with his beloved family, and those spent with friends, on and off the golf course.

Family wishes to express thanks to our faithful warriors who supported us in so many ways this last year; and to the numerous professionals at CancerCare Manitoba, and on the Palliative Care Ward at Riverview Health Centre.

In keeping with Louis’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street.

Louis fought the fight,

he finished the race.

Throughout the trial,

he kept the faith.

No longer does he suffer,

his body’s been made whole.

He’s flying with the angels,

and Heaven’s now his home.

(Libby L. Allen adapted)

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Louis may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
