Lorraine Lorna Desjarlis
With sad hearts and wonderful memories we announce the passing of Lorraine Desjarlis, on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at St. Boniface hospital, at the age of 86 years. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Donald Desjarlis, her parents Daniel Sr., Anna Zimmer and her brother Daniel Jr. Zimmer.
Lorraine was born June 11,1932 in Winnipeg, raised and educated in Gimli, MB., eventually returning to Winnipeg as a young adult where she met her husband Donald.
As per Lorraine’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Coutu Funeral Home.
Special thanks to staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care for the care and kindness shown to Lorraine over the final weeks of her life.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Lorraine can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
