Obituary for Lillian Jarvis

Lillian Jarvis

(nee McConkey)

On September 29, 2013 at the Victoria General Hospital we unexpectedly said goodbye to our loving mother, grandmother, sister, stepmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many, Lillian Jarvis.

Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Dorothy McConkey, brother Ed, husband George Jarvis, and the father of her children Denis Gariepy.

Mom will be sadly missed by her children; Debbie (Dan) Parisien, Robert Gariepy, and Nicole Gariepy, grandchildren; Chris, Dana (Billy), Amanda, Jessica, and Dylan, stepchildren; George, Stephanie, and Greg Jarvis, and their children, sisters; Evelyn (Fern), Betty, Ruth, and Wendy (Roger).

Mom was an active member of the Rockwood ANAF 303 for many years. George was the Sports Chair and they took great pride in organizing many sporting events.

Mom loved music, singing, slurpees, shopping, and spending time visiting with family and friends. Mom was such a kind and caring person and will be missed by all those who knew her.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to auntie Evie and auntie Ruthie for the love, support and kindness that you have shown to mom, especially this last year.

In keeping with Lillian?s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of mom can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association.

We love you, and you will be in our hearts forever.
