Obituary for Kathleen Chrystal-May Spence

KATHLEEN CHRYSTAL-MAY SPENCE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Mother, Sister, Auntie and friend, Kathleen Chrystal-May Spence on December 1st, 2022 at the age of 45. Kathleen was born September 23, 1977 in Winnipeg, MB to Francis Joseph Spence and Kimberly Dawn Storeshaw both predeceased along with brother Darcy Francis Spence and wife Sharon Dainard also predeceased. She has left behind a loving daughter Latasha, sisters Natasha (Mike), Delacy (Aaron), nephews Tyler, Tyson, Alex, Brandon, Mason and niece Ashley who will miss her dearly. Kathleen (Chrys) was a creative soul who loved crafting, thrifting, animals, and spending as much time as she could outdoors. She loved anything and everything Mexico and dreamed of living there one day.

Chrys would do anything for her daughter Latasha whether that be taking her to Cheerleading competitions or supporting her at Taekwondo tournaments. She loved her shopping dates with Latasha and spoiling her “grandbunnies” and her “grandbird” with treats and toys, and visited them often. Chrys loved spending time with her siblings and when they would all get together the room was always filled with hysterical laughter. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews whether it be having them over for sleepovers or taking them out for ice cream, family was always very important to her.

Chrys had the biggest sweet tooth and she would always have candy with her and would prefer to eat any type of dessert over a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. She had such a fun personality and always made her friends and family laugh in the most unique ways, Chrys always had the most random things in her purse whether it was a giant magnifying glass or a 12” sub, she was prepared for any and every occasion.

Although Chrys may have had some struggles throughout her life, she still knew how to live life to the fullest. Our family is grateful to know Chrys is at peace. She is at rest with her pets, Rylee, KC, Kitty and Kato and will be forever loved and remembered.

“In the end it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.”

Kathleen’s family has chosen to have a private Celebration of Life that will be held for immediate family and close friends, but we do appreciate everyone’s love and support during this difficult time.
