It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Kathleen Muriel Martel (Musgrave) on June 3, 2021 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 74 years.
Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Gerard, in 2013, grandson Rodney in 2019, as well as her parents and two brothers.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Dwayne (Collette) (Melodie), Shawn, Gary (Gina), Vance (Connie) (Tracey), Darryl (Cettina); grandchildren Dwayne Jr., Danielle, Drew, Deidre, Douglas, Darci, Emma, Brandan, Kearra, Kathleen, Jeanette, Stephanie; brother Robert (Brenda) as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was born and raised in Winnipeg, loved to spend time with family and was a hard worker, she worked many jobs in the food industry later in her life.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chez Nous where she lived for the past 7 years and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion given to Kathleen while in their care.
In keeping with Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and due to restrictions on public gatherings a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
