Obituary for Julian Shea Trombinski

Julian Shea Trombinski

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Julian Shea Trombinski at 29 years of age. Julian was born May 12, 1991 in Vancouver, B.C. to Maureen Loughead and Valerian Trombinski, brother Lindsay came along in 1993 and the family moved to Winnipeg in 2000.

Julian will be deeply and forever missed by family both in Winnipeg and Vancouver, leaving to mourn his loss are mom Maureen Loughead, stepdad Dennis Patkau, dad Valerian Trombinski and stepmom Kim Trombinski. Brother Lindsay will forever have Julian in his heart. His extended family is also heartbroken, Julian was close to his cousins, Jessica, Victoria, Cameron, Wesley and Tabatha will all cherish the many good times spent together, the laughs and Julian’s light up the room smile.

Julian was an exceptionally cute baby with a big smile and intense eyes, he and Lindsay grew up having great fun in Vancouver, doing lots of camping with his mom and dad and learning to play baseball amongst many other activities. With a move to Winnipeg both boys became hockey players and still enjoyed getting out on the ice whenever they could.

Julian grew into a tall and very strong young man but was always gentle, especially with his nieces and nephews who he adored and loved to play with, many family gatherings included rough housing with uncle Julian. We have to declare Julian king of the sleigh as no one was able to move him off unless it was a young niece of nephew that was miraculously able to move his 250 Lb frame off the sleigh only to be brought with him and then carried safely back on. His love of children and family was immense, it was what he lived for and he was happiest when surrounded by those closest to him.

Julian was gifted with an understanding of how large machinery operated, he had an uncanny ability to get at the controls of any piece of equipment and become competent at using it within minutes, he used this skill in his work in the construction industry and gained opportunities to work at large projects including a hydro electric dam and an iron ore mine.

Julian, our pain is difficult to bear, you were an incredibly bright light in a sometimes dark world, your presence, your smile, your big bear hugs and love of life will be held forever in our hearts, till we see you in heaven, we know Uncle Charlie will be watching over you, rest gently in the arms of our Father.

A private gathering for family and friends to honour Julian will be held at a later date.
