Obituary for Joyce Marie Herbach (Walker)
JOYCE MARIE HERBACH
February 15, 1934 – May 20, 2020
Peacefully on May 20, 2020 with her daughter by her side, our mother, grandmother and wife took a journey to be with her Lord.
Joyce is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband Len, the love of her life, married for 64 years, her children: Dwayne, Dale and Rhonda (Therin). Grandchildren: Stephanie (Kyle), Andrea (Jennifer), Kristine (Joel) and Michael. Great-grandchildren: Jayden, Natalie, Tessa, Jillian and Ellie; her sisters Flo, Irene and brother Ron.
Joyce was born in Brownlee, SK and was predeceased by her parents Hazel and James, her brothers Gerry, David, Clarence, stepbrothers Cecil and James.
Joyce was a stay at home mom to raise her children. She had a special bond with all her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and babysat some of them from a very young age while her children worked.
Mom and dad took many winter vacations in the sun and attended many CMA conferences together.She made many friends throughout her life and kept the friendships till the end. She had a loving and caring heart for everyone she knew.
Joyce attended St. Timothy church where she volunteered for various duties at Sunday Mass. She was an avid bowler and bowled at Dakota Lanes for over 30 years.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Jacob and the staff at Grace Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
