In Loving Memory of Jacques Comeau

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jacques Comeau, a beloved husband, devoted brother, and cherished father and grandfather. Jacques peacefully departed this world on Sunday November 19, 2023, at home with his family at his side.

Jacques was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving wife Simone of 60 years, his sons Alain (Denise), Daniel (Phyllis) Rossel (Lizanne) and Martin, and his loving grandchildren Danica (Peter), Patrick, Talia and Aric. His life was defined by the joy he found in family bonds. As a father, he imparted wisdom and kindness, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he adored every moment spent with his three precious grandchildren.

He also leaves his siblings Gilbert (Mathilde) and Yolande; sisters in law Aline (Marcel Toupin), Eleanor Sabourin, Cécile Sabourin and brothers in law Joseph, Ulysse and Fernand Sabourin and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gérard and Irène Comeau, brothers in law Eugène and Gilles and sister-in-law Lucie (Douglas Lindsay).

Professionally, Jacques dedicated many years to a successful career in the window and door sales industry. His passion and commitment to his work were evident, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered throughout his career.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jacques found solace and happiness at the cottage he built, relaxing, boating and fishing with his family. It was a place where memories were made, laughter echoed through the walls, and the love of family blossomed. Jacques also enjoyed woodworking, carving, and cheering on the Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. One of Jacques’s greatest joys was attending his grandchildren's volleyball and hockey games. Rarely did a match go by without Pépère in the stands, cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm.

Jacques will be remembered for his warm smile, his generosity, and the love he shared unconditionally. In this time of grief, we find comfort in the countless memories he gifted us and the love that will endure in our hearts.

A private memorial mass was held.

Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

We will miss you.
