Obituary for John Sydney McIntyre

In Loving Memory of
JOHN SYDNEY MCINTYRE

It is with sadness and broken hearts that the family of John McIntyre announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, November 25, at the age of 82 years.

John passed surrounded by the love of his wife Bev; children: Stacey, Mike, and son-in-law Michael.

John is also survived by his sister Mary Bailie, sister-in-law Barb (Mike) Tight; grandchildren: Megan (Luke) Deptuch, Joshua (Brooke) Szajewski, Alex McIntyre, Leah (Garrett) Loster; and great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Laney Szajewski, and Lincoln Deptuch.

John’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the love he shared and the memories he created will be cherished by all who knew him.

John’s grandchildren were very important to him. We have asked each of them to include a few words here to honour that relationship.

In loving memory of Grandpa John, we are forever grateful for our time spent together but especially watching Goldeyes games and sharing conversation over drinks and dinner.
We love you.
Megan, Luke, and Lincoln

Grandpa - from early memories of sitting on your lap driving the boat out to the island, to sharing a tee box and conversations around a campfire, we will always remember the times we spent together. We will forever miss your hugs and smiles.
Love you forever.
Josh, Brooke, Wyatt, and Laney

My Grandpa was extremely loving, caring, thoughtful, friendly, funny, and intelligent. I will dearly miss golfing, watching sports, travelling, and just having a beer with him. I consider him a role model and he helped me a lot through some hard times. I love and miss you, Grandpa. Thank you for everything!
Alex

Grandpa, I miss your serene and comforting presence, your wisdom, your warm hugs, your smell, your bright smile, and your booming laugh. I will always treasure our memories together, and I am so grateful that you were at my wedding. We hope to follow in your footsteps with our marriage and support each other forever like you did with grandma. I admire the unconditional love you had for the people you cared about and aspire to be more like you. I love you so much, grandpa.
You are dearly missed.
Leah and Garrett
