Obituary for John Orlando Cianflone

JOHN ORLANDO CIANFLONE

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John, a husband, father, grandfather and brother. John passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on Saturday May 4th, 2013 at the age of 67.

John leaves his beloved wife Sharon, his children Kerry (Trina), Angela (Doug), Monica (Kurt), Tony (Sara) and his cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Luke, Ella, Jake and Johnathan. His brothers and sisters, Angie (Gus), Tony (Tita), Lena (Sam), Rina (John), Ron and Glenda (Robert). Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

John was predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Giuseppina Cianflone, his in-laws Harvey and Wilma Stewart and his brothers-in-law Wayne Stewart Gino Buccini.

John was born in Amato, Italy and came to Canada in 1954. He spent his life as an entrepreneur, in the automotive business. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren; he loved his wife Sharon and could not live without her. Dad was a boss not a worker. He enjoyed asking us to do things and always supervising. He enjoyed having dinners with his friends and entertaining. Dad always looked out for all of us in his special way. He always said family was everything, and they would always be there for you, just like he was for us and we were for him.

John fought this last week to give us special moments with him, he was very blessed to have so many friends and family members there to share them. We will miss you so much Daddy, we love you, and know that you are in a pain free place looking down on us telling us to take care of Mom and be strong.

We would like to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital ICU for their care and compassion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of your choice.

You will never be forgotten, rest in peace.
