Obituary for Jean Helen Peters

Jean Helen Peters

(nee Alexander)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jean Peters on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the age of 83 years.

Jean was predeceased by her mother Nellie, father George, sister Margaret, brother Jim, and her sister Elsie. Jean is survived by her loving husband Ken, son Sandy, daughter in law Kathy, grandchildren Josh (partner Megan), and Evan, sister Betty, sister in law Barb, brother in law Cliff, sister in law Kay, sister in law Sharon and her nieces and nephews.

Jean was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to entertain guests with her cooking and baking. She was always willing to make each persons favorite at the drop of a hat.

She enjoyed political debates, working at Fort Rouge curling club, watching her son play all his sports growing up, babysitting “her boys” (as she called them), shopping for deals and being with her husband and best friend Kenny.

Jean was a kind hearted soul who we will miss each and every day. As Jean would say…“say see ya.”

A special thanks to the EMT’s and Winnipeg Police Service for their care and understanding.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of
Jeans life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Kirchhoff Gardens, 1295 Dakota Street from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations in Jean’s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 204-310 Broadway Street, Winnipeg, MB
