Jason Richard Robert Caplette

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jason Caplette, age 43 of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Growing up Jason loved spending time at his Pepere’s cottage. Jason’s mini quad provided years of fun and entertainment.

From a very young age Jason had a real soft spot for animals. He had so much heart and compassion, he couldn’t even make it through old yeller without shedding a tear.

Jason was extremely athletic and loved playing hockey and baseball. He enjoyed the company of his teammates and friends.

He was the class clown and did anything to get a laugh out of people, even if it was at his own expense.

Jason valued spending time with family and his proudest moment was becoming a father to Carson. He would always brag about how funny, kind and athletic his son was. Jason cherished the moments he got to spend with Carson and will continue to watch over him.

Jason was a sensitive soul and felt deeply for those around him.

Jason will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His smile, sense of humour and goofiness will forever leave a mark on our hearts.

Rest easy Jay, until we meet again 💙

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
