Jacqueline (Jackie) May Gooding
October 18, 1949-September 15, 2021
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of Jackie Gooding.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister Janice (Bill), her brother Lloyd (Amelia); nieces and nephew Abby, Ashley, Jeff, Jill and Tracey.
Jackie was predeceased by her father Lloyd, her mother Violet, her brother Tod (Loni) and nephew Shane.
Jackie lived her whole life in Winnipeg working at Eaton’s for many years. She later volunteered at Independent Living Resource Centre, Beacon Hill and Meadowood Manor. Jackie was a long-time resident of Meadowood Manor where she would foster many dear friendships. She started every day singing at “morning song” in the Fellowship Hall at Meadowood, she loved to sing and she had a beautiful voice. A good day was a busy day and Meadowood offered her many opportunities to stay active. Jackie was happiest with family and friends and never missed an opportunity for a party or get together (especially if she was the centre of attention.) Jackie loved to laugh!
Throughout her life Jackie was handed many challenges but she rose up to adversity and lived her best life.
A family celebration of life will be held.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her beloved Meadowood Manor at Meadowood Manor Foundation, 102-575 St. Anne’s Road, Winnipeg, MB. R2M 5B2.
