Irène Rey

August 11, 1933 – December 10, 2014

After a long struggle with cancer Irène passed away peacefully on December 10, 2014, at Centre Taché in St. Boniface. She will be sadly missed by her sisters; Marie-Thérèse, Solange and Gisèle, and by her brothers; Léon (Paulette) and Paul, as well as her nieces; Nadine (Tim), Jocelyne (Bobby), Joelle (Matt) and her nephew Marc (Stacey) and their families. She also leaves behind many cousins and life long friends who appreciated her kind and generous nature.

Irène was born and raised in Grande Clairière. As a young woman she moved to St. Boniface and spent over 40 years working as a travel agent at D’Eschambault Travel. She loved her work and dedicated her life to her career. Many of her clients still remember her ready willingness to go that extra mile to meet their needs and wishes.

In keeping with Irène’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a prayer service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. Funeral Mass and Burial will follow at a later date in Grande Clairière, MB.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Irène may be made to the charity of your choice.
