Irene Soulodre

(nee Smith)

March 31, 1927 to January 12, 2014


Peacefully at the Taché Centre with family and friends at her side. Predeceased by beloved husband Gabriel (2004). Survived by loving brother Raymond (Simonne) and cherished children Jocelyne (Kenneth), Gerald (Alix deceased 2012), Danielle (Steven) and Bernard. Proud grandmother of Jair, Jaime, Samantha and Virginie. A talented pianist, dedicated volunteer at Taché and in the community and a devoted member of her church. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Taché Centre for their long and compassionate care.


In keeping with Irene?s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18 at St. Boniface Basilica, 190 Cathedrale Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Irene?s name to Actionmarguerite.ca, or to the Fondation Actionmarguerite Foundation.
