Obituary for Irene Marie-Anne Fontaine
IRENE FONTAINE
January 11, 1960 – January 11, 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, auntie Irene.
Irene had a heart of gold. A true animal lover, in her younger days always bringing stray cats, dogs, rabbits etc. home to mom. A young mother raising her ‘Baby Girl’ on her own. She was diagnosed with dementia at the early age of 60. Then on her 63rd birthday a tragic accident took place which resulted in her untimely death.
Left to mourn her passing, her only child Jennifer Fontaine, her granddaughter Patricia (Wade), her great-grandsons James and Jordon Bone. Also, her brothers and sisters Norman, Paulette Clarke, Denis, Roberta Pangman (Rick), Robert and Lucille Fontaine, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by parents Paul and Claudette Fontaine, her brothers Raymond, Eugene, Guy and sister Therese, niece Lorene Mosher, and nephew Cody Fontaine.
The family would also like to acknowledge Leonard (Lenny) Welsh for all his care and dedication to Irene.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Norwood Legion, 134 Marion Street on February 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
