He was predeceased by his son Robert, his parents Albert and Suzanne, his brothers Marcel and Andy his sister-in-law Irene and niece Denise; his parents in-law Camille and Carmilia Aubin. He is survived by his siblings, Gerard, Alice (Rosaire), Bernard (Lois), Paul (Diane), Rose (Ted), Ron (Yvette), Cecile (Robert), Joe (Yvette), George (Darlene), Diane (Gilbert), Maria and sisters-in-law Pat and Rita; numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Henri retired as District Fire Chief after 37 years of service with The City of Winnipeg Fire Department and was a member of the Knights of Columbus since the age of 27. Dad spent endless hours working as a volunteer in hopes of making a difference. He will be missed by many.

Our family would like to thank the offices of Doctors Quy Doan, Robert Kroeker, and the Palliative Care Team for helping us fulfill his wishes by caring for him at home. As well as the doctors and nurses from St. Boniface Hospital A5 Cardiology Team. A heartfelt thank you to W.F.P.S, and more specifically to Captain Rob Labossiere #2 Platoon – Station 3 who came to his aid in his final weeks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba and St. Boniface Hospital Foundation – A5 Cardiology.

As he wished, a memorial service will be held with family and friends at a time when we can safely gather again to share stories in his honour.
