Obituary for Harvey Kenneth McNamara

Harvey McNamara
April 8, 1952 – May 16, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harvey McNamara.

Harvey was predeceased by the love of his life Rae, daughter Lori, parents-in-law Lorie and George, parents Elin and John and siblings Eileen, William, Shawn and Sharon.

Harvey will be lovingly remembered by daughters Sarah (Drew) and Jenny (Brad), grandchildren Justice, Micah, Raelene and Nathaniel, companion Michele, siblings-in-law Kim, Dawn, Johnny, Rhonda, and Rod, siblings Patricia and Rick. Also left to mourn are his best friend Paul, Goddaughter Tracy, great nephew Pete and great niece Cheri whom he loved as his own, along with many other family members and countless friends.

Harvey was hard working and had an incredible work ethic. He spent most of his working life in the autobody and painting industries. Early in his career he completed many custom modifications and paint jobs worthy of accolades including entries in car shows. After several decades of work in these industries, he opened Crash Masters Auto Body, and continued to run that business until his retirement in late 2020.

Harvey’s pride and joy were his daughters and grandchildren. Sadly we lost Lori far too soon, but Harvey never missed an opportunity to boast about his daughters or grandchildren.

He was the most selfless loving man, ready to help not only family, friends but anyone he encountered. Those privileged to have known him have described him as a living angel.
Well Daddy you have now earned your wings, soar high with Mom and Lori, love you more.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at E.J. Coutu at 680 Archibald Street, with interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery.
