Gisèle Fontaine
(née Mulaire)

Gisèle Rose Marie Fontaine passed away at the age of 91 on January 3, 2024 at the St. Boniface Hospital, her cherished family at her side.

Gisèle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Michel (Diane), Nicole (Raymond de Rocquigny), Claudette (Stefan Schelander), Luc (Helen), Lynne (Sieg Braun); petits-enfants: Janelle (Sean), Stéphane (Dasha), Julie (Tyler), Michel (Christine), François (Chantal), Karine, Catherine (Chelsey), Alexander (Andrea), Christian, Dielle (Matt), Éric; arrière-petits enfants: Théodore, Samuel, Matthieu, Sarah, Marc, Isabelle, Alice, Sophie, Alexus, Zachary, Nathalie, Tristian, Kailyn, Callum, Scarlett, Hayden, Ellie, Jaxon; sa sœur dévouée Sœur Marguerite Mulaire SNJM; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ernest, parents Emery and Rose (née Tétreault) Mulaire as well as her brothers Guy, Eugène, Gilles, René, Emery.

Born in Saint-Pierre-Jolys on May 18, 1932, Gisèle dedicated extensive volunteer time to the Girl Guides, Taché Nursing Home and the St. Boniface Cathedral. Mother enjoyed many trips abroad with her husband, however her first love was her family. She was an example to all of us of deep committed faith, loving, patient and devoted to everyone around her.

The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Résidence Despins, with special thanks to Leigh Anne. Throughout her years at the Résidence, Mother developed deep connections with staff and residents.
Prayers and Eulogy 10:45 am followed by Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Boniface Cathedral January 18, 2024. A private family interment will take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AMMI, Alzheimer’s Society, or to the charity of one’s choice.
