Obituary for Ginette Renea Marie Bedard

GINETTE BEDARD
1990 - 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister and auntie. She is already missed by her mom, Christy; siblings Daniel, and Véronique (Dan); nieces, Elise and Clara; as well as dear friends. Ginette was greeted in Heaven by her beloved dad, Louis; grandparents; and other relatives who predeceased her. Ginette was a quiet, gentle spirit who loved her family, treasured her friends and shared kindness with everyone she met.

Ginette adored being an auntie, and lit up when playing with her nieces. She was their art teacher, a cozy lap to sit in while enjoying a story, and a master at decorating their birthday cakes and cookies. This past summer she and her family enjoyed a cottage holiday in Matlock. Ginette was always in charge of the campfire, and of course, toasted marshmallows.

Ginette loved to draw, sing, camp and spend time with her cherished fur babies, Archie and Harley. As a graphic designer, Ginette used her talents working for Warehouse One. She enjoyed her work, her colleagues, and felt blessed to have a career that allowed her to draw everyday.

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun - Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, from the sorrows and the tears - In a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing, that we could know today - How nothing but our sadness can truly pass away. And think of her as living, in the hearts of those she touched - For nothing loved is ever lost, and she was loved so much.

A celebration of Ginette’s life will be held Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
