Obituary for Gilbert Gaspard Joseph Lussier

Gilbert Lussier
1935-2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Gilbert Gaspard
Lussier, a husband, a father, a grand-father, and great-grandfather on November
13, 2021 at the Repos in St Pierre-Jolys, at the age of 86.

Gilbert leaves behind his loving wife Marie; his two daughters, Gisele (Don) Forest
and Jacqueline (Gilbert) Marion; daughters-in-law Monique Lussier and Lorraine
Lussier, and many grand and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his three sons, Leon, Rheal, Norbert and also his daughter
Lise.

Gilbert was born on September 25, 1935. The oldest child of Joseph and Delia (Berard)
Lussier. Three following siblings, Lucien, Paulette, and Laurette. He married
Marie Chounaird and settled in Ste. Elizabeth where he started his life career as
an agricultural producer. They raised six beautiful children to which losing four
with great sorrows was a burden no parents should ever live. Among all this
tragedy also came joy and love with a bounty of grandchildren that he adored
with passion.

Gilbert was a hard working man when it came to getting the job done but enjoyed
socializing just as much. Family gatherings was his desire while travelling the
world was his sense of adventure, being snowbirds in Yuma, Arizona and Pharr,
Texas was their well deserved winter retreat. He made numerous friends along
the path of his life journey. His willingness to help any souls came from being an
honored Knight of Columbus of the fourth degree. An occasional fishing, trapping
and hunting was thrown in his things to do. It seemed to Gilbert that he was short
changed by only having 24 hrs in a day!

A private funeral celebration will be held by the family.
