Love transcends through time and distance, moving effortlessly through barriers and knowing no boundaries
Love needs no words or touch for it embraces upon the soul.
Memories are the ties that bind eternally.
Love is the light that never dims.
Near or far away love reaches beyond the human experience.
Love is the gift that is everlasting.
Our loved one is with us.

We are a part of each other and that is unchanging.

Alana Holt

I love you my beloved father

Our father was a man of true character, integrity and strength. He was loving , loyal , family oriented, respected , intelligent , dedicated , hardworking , and humorous.
One of My father's favorite quotes from a star track character was " go forth and prosper " and that he did.

As a young child My father was kind hearted , mischievous, endearing and loved by all.
As a young man My father was fun-loving, charming , popular and down to earth . He loved to go to dances and to play football. He was even awarded a scholarship at a U.S university but chose a different path.

As a young man dad focused on his education. He was ambitious and his love of learning, led him to obtain four degrees . During this time dad met a married mom Beverly in 1964 became a teacher, and then a lawyer where he spent his career in litigation at MPI. He was well respected and well liked by his colleagues many of whom became friends . He then went into private practice after retirement. Our father would tell the story of how he always wanted to be a history teacher because he loved history. However , upon graduation he was only offered a job up north or in the " boonies " and that was not what he wanted so a good friend told him to become a lawyer instead so he did. Now that was my father adventures and open to new experiences. He was always successful at all that he did because he put his heart and soul into it.

At heart our father was a family man. He was a loving son , brother, husband , father, step father , grandfather , uncle and friend. He taught my sisters and I to be kind , respectful , well mannered , compassionate , open minded , charitable and independent. He taught us the value of integrity, fairness and dedication.
our dad encouraged us to believe in ourselves , to pursue our dreams and to never give up. He gave wise counsel and at times gave to the point very direct advise. Dad never beat around the bush . He used to say " what is the bottom line ".

Our father loved his beloved grandchildren unconditionally .
He was so very proud to be a hands on zaida. his grandchildren gave him so much Naches ( pride and joy )and they love there Zaida so very deeply. He built so many beautiful memories that will stay in all of our hearts forever. There are no words to express our love and gratitude nor our sadness over the loss of our father.

Dad was a true warrior who overcame so many obstacles and turned adversity into triumph. His strength truely was remarkable. Like one of his favorite songs "the eye of the tiger "and that he truly was We are so proud of you dad. You amazed us. Just like your all time favorite song "You rocked around the clock "
In closing , dad’s light touched so many . He created a legacy that will forever endure. Our father's life was a mitzvah.
Dad, you will be imprinted upon our soul for all eternity. Your light and memory will shine always.

With all of our deepest love
Alana and Jodi

Our great warrior has ended the battle and retreated to a place of peace.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife Faye, beloved daughters Jodi ( Sergio) Alana, and he was pre deceased by his eldest daughter Marni in 2018.

Gerry was pre- deceased by parents Benjamin and Minnie, siblings Charlie ( Hinda) sister Miriam, daughter Marni his first wife Beverly and her parents Hymie and Esther Dudeck.
In 2002 he married Faye Ingles and had many wonderful years together. Health issues eventually became often, but his strength, zest for life and the deep need to go to Celebrations dinner theatre kept him going.
We also must thanks the amazing medical staff that that kept this man around for years. Dr Jordon Nantais, Dr Versha Banerji, Dr J Koulack and Dr Ghorpade. And his own Dr Marvin Slutchuck.
