GEORGINA (JO) CALVERT
nee FIRTH
January 6, 1936 – September 21, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jo, on September 21, 2021, at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 85.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her son Chris (Jacquie); daughter Coryn and many extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Julia; her brother Bob and husband Dennis.
Jo was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the North End and Elmwood areas of the city, where she made long lasting friendships with the ladies of ‘CLUB.’ Her pride and joy was her family. Jo had a fun-loving spirit, and she was always up for getting together for a few drinks, playing some slots and having lots of laughs. These times will be cherished always.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service held, in accordance with Jo’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba.
