Obituary for George Christian Connor
GEORGE CHRISTIAN CONNOR
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Christian Connor on April 29, 2021 at the age of 73.
He leaves to mourn his wife Nola Brown; sons Pinard Connor, Ronald Connor, Ken-Otis Connor, Dr. Wilbert Connor; daughter Chayleeah Connor; sisters, Juliana Douglas, Albertine Connor, Velma Ambo, Marvelyn George, and Caron Connor; brothers, McLean Connor, Beresford Connor; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, other cherished family and dear friends too numerous to mention.
He was predeceased by his parents Christiana Connor and Benjamin Connor.
George was born on December 10, 1947 in Zicack Portsmouth, Dominica and immigrated to Canada in the mid 1970s. He spent most of his career working as a car mechanic until his retirement in 2014. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with his family and especially his grand kids.
The family would like to thank the staff, doctors, and nurses at Concordia Hospital for assisting George in his final days. Special mention to Nola, his wife, for tirelessly being at his side throughout his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 204-943-6622
A private family service will be held after cremation has taken place. The service will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2:00.p.m.
