Obituary for Fortunato Esposito

FORTUNATO (TINO) ESPOSITO

It is with great sadness the family announces that Fortunato Esposito passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the St. Boniface Hospital.

Fortunato was born June 15, 1956 in Trabia, Italy (Sicily). He immigrated to Canada, October 7, 1967 with his parents Grazia and Leonardo and his brothers, Pietro and Maurizio. He was a loyal employee of the Health Sciences Centre for 29 years until he retired in 2018.

Tino is survived by his brothers, three daughters, Christina Bosma, Angelina Desaulniers, and Maria Esposito, and his three grandchildren Adrian, Sofiia and Dakota.

Tino was fun loving, outgoing and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved music, dancing, and socializing at the local Italian cafes. He spent the last years of his life taking care of his elderly parents, he was always looking out for his loved ones and will be dearly missed.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support during his brief but fierce fight with Cancer.

In keeping with Fortunato’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., with condolences one-hour prior. Flowers are gratefully accepted.
