FLAVIE DESIMPELAERE

1919 – 2020
Flavie Desimpelaere, aged 100 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg.
She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Slezak (Kasmer) and her son George (Suzanne); six grandchildren, and fourteen great – grandchildren. Flavie was predeceased by her husband Andre in 1988.
Flavie was born on September 29, 1919 and was raised in Mariapolis, Manitoba. Flavie and Andre were married in 1942 and resided on the family farm in Forte Whyte, Manitoba until 1972.
Flavie enjoyed curling, craft making, card playing, volunteering at the Victoria Hospital, leading the water exercise class at the Delta Manor, as well as wintering with Andre in Arizona.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers at Station B1 at The Middlechurch Home for their care and concern during her residency there.
As per her wishes, cremation has already taken place, and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
