Obituary for Elizabeth Ritchot

ELIZABETH RITCHOT

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Ritchot on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

She was pre-deceased by her husband William on February 8, 2008, her Parents Abraham & Elizabeth Wiebe, sister Justine, brothers, Johnny and Hank.

Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her children, Mary-Anne (John), Helen (Bill), Sally, Christine (Rod), Will (Donna). Family, Peter, Helen (Vic), Sally (Greg), Jim (Monica), Numerous Grandchildren, great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews, and friends.

Mom grew up on a farm in Pansy, MB. They had animals and gardens. Mom talk about how she really loved those days. Mom struggled with disabilities her entire life. She had a difficult time raising us so her mom and sisters would help a lot. Mom did the best she could raising us and that’s all anyone can ask. She lost 2 daughters in infancy which took its toll on her as well.

In 2017 she broke her hip and had post operational delirium. That’s when the horrible decease dementia started taking mom. She was her feisty stubborn self, right to the end. She was surrounded by family and went peacefully.

The family wish to thank Riverview Heath Centre staff for their compassionate care of mom during her last days.

A funeral service celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
