1929-2022
It is with deep sadness that the family of Mona Lanthier announce her passing on November 24, 2022, at the age of 93 years.
She will be greatly missed by her son Rob, wife Jill and their sons Marc (Kim) and Shane (Taryn); her son Richard and his daughter Leah; and her granddaughter Irene. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mona was predeceased by her loving husband Rollie, son Randy, parents Robert and Agnes Bell, as well as brothers Robert, Bruce and Angus, and sister Mary and her nephew Robbie.
Mona spent her whole life in Winnipeg, the great majority in St. Vital. She enjoyed her daily walks through the community and nearby parks and was passionate about her work in the yard and garden.
The family would like to express its immense gratitude to the nurses and staff of Oakview Place in Winnipeg for their kindness and compassionate care of Mona for the past year.
Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Mona’s wishes, “I’m not having any darn funeral.”
